4FourTwo is reporting that NFC mobile payment is coming to Apple’s iOS 7 operating system, along with a bunch of new features and bug fixes.
NFC mobile wallets are already available on Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and Amazon’s Kindle store.
It will be available for purchase on Amazon and Google Play in the U.S., and in Canada and Australia in early 2018.
The NFC Mobile Wallet is the first to include Apple’s Touch ID sensor, which was announced back in October.
We first heard about NFC Mobile Payments from Apple in October, but it wasn’t until we received confirmation from the company that NFC Mobile Pay was actually coming to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
The NFC Mobile payment technology is similar to what’s already in use on iOS, but the NFC Mobile Payment app on iOS is now a fully functional app, so it can take advantage of the Touch ID feature on the device.
We’ll be sure to check back with FourFourSecond to see if this new payment service becomes a reality.
